Pleasley mining museum and country park.

The park is just across the road from the house, and has beautiful walks through the local countryside passing wild life and dragonfly ponds . From the top off the hill you will be treated to panoramic views of Nottinghamshire and the Derbyshire countryside including Hardwick Hall. Follow the trails from the park toRowthorne,Hardwick Hall or Teversal Manor, once owned by Lord Carnarvon who financed the discovery of Tutankhamen's tomb.
Pleasley Vale and Gorge
In the Vale there are three large textile mills which have since closed and are now being used as a business park. These Mills have a notorious reputation for being haunted and have featured on the TV show Most Haunted.
 This area is also an archaeological place of interest as prehistoric and roman remains have been discovered in the  gorge and surrounding area.
